Story-time fundraising

19 Mar Archive Child reading book

Previously the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity, we re-launched as The Children’s Surgery Foundation in 2019 to reflect the national scope of our work today. The story below is from our days as the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity.

On Friday 9th March all children at St James Catholic Primary School in Twickenham, from nursery to Year 6, were encouraged to bring in their teddy and slippers for story time to raise money for our charity. They needed to do their homework or reading without being asked so that they could bring in a £1 donation for the hospital.

Last year the pupils at St James's set up a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Cafe to raise money for us. Thank you so much to all the children, parents and staff for supporting us again, we're very grateful!
