Our Christmas number one?

Previously the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity, we re-launched as The Children’s Surgery Foundation in 2019 to reflect the national scope of our work today. The story below is from our days as the Chelsea Children’s Hospital Charity.

We've got some extremely exciting Christmassy news to share with you! The children from Music'all, a music school in Fulham, have recorded a beautiful Christmas song especially for us. Called Brand New Day (Peace on Earth), all proceeds will be going to our charity. We believe that it's so good, with your help it could become the Christmas number one.

Launching with a live performance at our children's Christmas party on 3rd December, the original song features children aged from 8-14. The heartfelt lyrics by composer and choir director Rae Evans tell of children who are in hospital at Christmas time.

Singer Kimlan Mallett, 10, says: "When I was in the hospital the doctors and nurses were kind, but I was scared. It makes me sad to think of children feeling like that at Christmas." Max Fawcett, 12, adds: "If we can help kids like us and do something kind for them, it would make me really happy."

You can download the song from 3rd December on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. Search for Brand New Day (Peace on Earth).
